CCEA Executive Board and NSEA Board seats yield a run-off
Members of the CCEA Elections Committee met on Monday, February 22 to tabulate the ballots for the 2010 CCEA Elections. The following results were presented to the Association Representative Council for ratification at its February 23, 2010 meeting:

NSEA Delegate Assembly: 90 representatives
NEA Representative Assembly: 31 representatives
A run-off election will be held to determine the representatives for CCEA Executive Board seats 3B and 4B, as well as, NSEA Board of Directors seats A and E. The two top vote getters in each race will appear on the run-off ballot.
Following is the calendar to be observed for the run-off election.

Feb. 23 Elections Committee reviews and signs off on run-off election ballot

Feb. 24 Database file is prepared to address ballot envelopes

Mar. 4 Election materials are printed, folded, collated, addressed, sealed

Mar. 5 Elections Committee logs ballots and releases them for first-class mailing

Mar. 19 Ballots are due by 5:00 p.m., Friday, March 19, 2010 at the clearinghouse – the CPA firm of Daniel McArthur, Ltd., (501 Rancho Drive #E-30, Las Vegas, NV 89106)

Mar. 22 Elections Committee meets to tabulate ballots

Mar. 22 Elections Committee Chairperson notifies winners by phone and in writing and posts results at the CCEA office

Mar. 23 Elections Committee presents run-off election results to the AR Council for ratification

Mar. 24 Election results are posted on the CCEA website

2010 CCEA Standing Election Procedures
In accordance with the election procedures, an election newsletter and candidate flyers have been prepared. Candidates for CCEA Officer, CCEA Executive Board, and NSEA Board of Directors were provided an opportunity to submit a candidate statement of no more than 150 words and a picture for inclusion in the newsletter and the flyer.
