CCEA Negotiating for You
The Clark County Education Association Negotiations Team faced many challenges and spent countless hours working through interest-based bargaining to find solutions. After many months of negotiations, informational meetings were held throughout the valley so that members could learn more about the proposed contract language changes and vote whether or not to approve them.
The Clark County Education Association Negotiations Team faced many challenges and spent countless hours working through interest-based bargaining to find solutions. After many months of negotiations, informational meetings were held throughout the valley so that members could learn more about the proposed contract language changes and vote whether or not to approve them.
Members of the CCEA Elections Committee met on Monday, August 31, 2009 to tabulate the votes cast for the contract ratification. CCEA members had until midnight on Friday, August 28 to cast their vote online.
Members voted:
- To extend the Negotiated Agreement for one year (2009-2010 school year)
- To continue experience step and educational advancement
- For the District to continue to fully pay the PERS contributions, including the increased cost
- For Health insurance contributions to remain intact
- For dates throughout the contract to be changed accordingly
- To eliminate language which is no longer applicable
- To clarify the intent of the parties in Article 26.
