2012 CCEA Elections

Election cycle kicks into high gear

The CCEA Elections Committee presented the proposed 2012 CCEA Standing Elections Procedures to the Association Representative (AR) Council for its review during the October 25 meeting, and again at the November 22 AR Council meeting for discussion and adoption.  The adoption of the procedures marked the opening of the nominations period.  Nominations closed during the December 13 AR Council meeting.  

Following is a list of positions open during the 2012 election cycle: 

* CCEA Executive Board Officers — 2012-2014 (2-year term)

   President  -- Unopposed, Ruben Murillo, Jr. is declared elected at the Dec. ARC meeting
   Vice President 

* CCEA Executive Board — 2012-2014 (2-year term)

   Seat 1B - Unopposed, Peg Bean is declared elected at the Dec. ARC meeting
   Seat 2B
   Seat 3B - Unopposed, Robert Hollowood is declared elected at the Dec. ARC meeting
   Seat 4B - Unopposed, Jennifer Webb-Cook is declared elected at the Dec. ARC meeting
   Seat 5B 

* Representatives to the NSEA Board of Directors — 2012-2015 (3-year term)
  Seat G
  Seat H
  Seat I
  Seat J
  Seat K - Unopposed, Shan Terada is declared elected at the Dec. ARC meeting
  Seat L - Unopposed, Cindy K. Johnson is declared elected at the Dec. ARC meeting 

* Delegates to NSEA Delegate Assembly (NSEA-DA) — 2012-2014 (2-year term)

   Approx. 90 positions 

* Delegates to the NEA Representative Assembly (NEA-RA) — 2012-2014 (2-year term)

   - NSEA Delegates - Approx. 6 positions

   - CCEA Delegates - Approx. 34 positions 

Ballots are scheduled to mail to all members' home addresses on January 24, 2012 using bulk mail -- please allow 10 days for the receipt of your ballot.  If you do not receive your ballot by February 6, 2012, please call either Ruth Serrano or Letty Elias at 733-3063 and a ballot will be reissued.

Completed ballots are due to the clearinghouse by 5:00 p.m., Thursday, February 23, 2012.
