If the above issues don’t resonate with you...there is the attack on public education and educators that is plaguing the nation under the guise of “education reform.”  You are probably already feeling the effects of higher expectations, fewer resources, less support, less time to complete your job, less respect, etc. (and, unfortunately, the list goes on and on). 

It is imperative that we work to change the agenda.  And it starts by taking small steps toward a greater goal.

So, regardless of your political affiliation, get involved in shaping your party’s education platform.  You are the expert in education.  Share your knowledge and move the conversation to what is needed in the classroom and the resources you will need to provide your students with a great education.
