• CCEA continues to work diligently to reach a settlement that is fair to students, teachers, the district, and the community.
• The impasse arbitration hearing began November 9.  Financial evidence was heard January 11-13.  We anticipate that the district will present its position on health insurance during the February 6-7 hearings.
• Additional hearing dates have been set for March 12 and 13.
• If the calendar remains as detailed above, we could receive the arbitrator’s decision by the end of April or early May.

Also, we had movement on pending action:

• PERS — The hearing over the unilateral salary decrease to pay for the PERS increase was held January 5.  We expect that a decision will be rendered in approximately 45-60 days.
