Early Transfer Period** February 6 through February 24, 2012 **
The early transfer period for Title 1 and At-Risk schools will be held from February 6 through February 24, 2012. If implemented, according to the Negotiated Agreement between the Clark County School District and the Clark County Education Association, under the provision of Article 35-2-1, this transfer shall apply only to those vacancies existing in the Title I and At-Risk schools. A list identifying the 2012 Title I and At-Risk schools according to their Area Service Center may be accessed through the links below.
During this transfer period, and if implemented, principals at Title I and At-Risk schools may fill up to 50% of estimated vacancies as determined by the Human Resources Division.
• Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012: Principals of Title I and At-Risk schools will submit to the Licensed Personnel Department in Human Resources a listing of their anticipated openings.
• Monday, Feb. 6, 2012: Human Resources will only publish one position announcement for the early transfer period for Title I and At-Risk schools.
• Monday, Feb. 6, 2012 through FRIDAY, Feb. 24, 2012: Early transfer for Title I and At-Risk schools.
• Teachers must provide a copy of their teaching license and verification of their “Highly Qualified” status at the time of the interview. All CCSD teachers have been notified of their “Highly Qualified” status by the Licensure Department.
• Principals must keep a log of all interviews and resulting actions taken during the early transfer period.
• Please be reminded of the district’s commitment to cultural diversity.
• Teachers may participate in multiple interviews. If a teacher is selected for a position by more than one principal, the teacher may choose the position he or she desires.
