Voluntary TransferPeriod set: June 1 - June 30, 2009
The Clark County Education Association (CCEA) and the Clark County School District (CCSD) have agreed to have a voluntary transfer period from June 1 through June 30, 2009. During this transfer period teachers with less than full time contracts may interview and accept full time positions.
The involuntary transfer process has been concluded. There were one hundred forty-two (142) educators surplused. The surplus meeting was held on May 12, 2009 at Coronado High School. There were twenty-one (21) teachers who were unable to select a position from the list of vacancies. These teachers will be placed in order of district-wide seniority. For teachers who are less senior and displaced, CCEA and CCSD are looking at different options to place them in a position for which they are licensed.
