Members seek opportunity to get involvedAppointments and elections are now completed

Three vacancies were created when a CCEA member resigned his position on the CCEA Executive Board, the CCEA TIP Coordinating Council, and the NSEA Board of Directors due to unavoidable circumstances.  This resignation presented members with a unique opportunity to get involved in the associations.

** NSEA Board of Directors - Seat F
Loretta Harper appointed to seat
The vacancy of Seat F on the NSEA Board of Directors was filled by the CCEA Executive Board during its January 12th meeting.  Loretta Harper, a counselor at Desert Pines HS, was selected and appointed to fill the remainder of the term.
     Loretta will attend her first NSEA Board of Directors meeting on February 26th.

** CCEA Executive Board - Seat 4A
Brian Flick elected to fill vacancy
The vacancy of Zone 4A on the CCEA Executive Board was filled during the November 24, 2009 Association Representative Council where the election for this seat was held.  Brian Flick, an art teacher at Cynthia Cunningham ES was elected to represent the members in Zone 4 and fill the remainder of the term.
     Brian attended his first CCEA Executive Board meeting on December 8, 2009.

** CCEA TIP Coordinating Council
Juanita Oard will fill council seat
The vacancy on the CCEA TIP Coordinating Council was filled during the November 24, 2009 Association Representative Council where Juanita Oard, a special education teacher at Ruth Fyfe ES, was elected to the position and will fill the remainder of the term.
